2025 Moody Fund for the Arts
Opens Jan 27 2025 11:59 AM (CST)
Deadline Feb 18 2025 12:01 PM (CST)
Description

The Moody Fund for the Arts ("MFA") was created to provide grants to small and emerging Dallas arts groups that are supported by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and have annual budgets of less than $1 million. In its first 7 years, 2018 - 2024, the MFA distributed $2,380,000 to 99 organizations, supporting the critical arts infrastructure of the city.

In the 2025-2026 grant cycle, the maximum per award will be  $12,000.

Recognizing that the COVID pandemic may still be impacting performance, rehearsal, education, and exhibition spaces, as well as audiences in 2025-2026, this year's grants may also support:

a.Virtual programming.
b.Programs presented in unusual spaces.
c.Programs reaching isolated audiences and those with limited internet access.
d.New works and projects that may only get to workshop/reading stage for now, but held until a future time.

Applications must demonstrate realistic strategies to reach and measure broad and underserved audiences.

Submissions will be reviewed through a two-tiered panel selection process including arts educators, managers, advocates, philanthropists, a member of the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission, and the Director of the Office of Arts and Culture. Grant awardees will be notified in June 2025 and paid no later than July 2025, subject to contract execution.
